DROUGHT CONDITIONS CONTINUE AND LAKE LEVELS SLIP
- Stubborn drought conditions persist over much of South Texas. Conservation efforts are being strongly urged as lake levels near the 40% level that triggers mandatory steps. Lake Texana remains nearly full.

BRIAN WILLIAMS NAMED GENERAL MANAGER
- The District board of directors has named Brian G. Williams, P.E., as general manager. He replaces Jim Naismith who is retiring after five decades of service to the District. Don Roach continues as assistant manager.

TPCO PIPE PLANT CREATING NEW SAN PAT SKYLINE
- The massive steel framework of the first production building broke into view in early August at the site of the $1 billion TPCO America seamless steel pipe plant. The initial unit is scheduled for completion in March.

CUSTOMERS ENCOURAGED TO STEP UP WATER CONSERVATION MEASURES
- The Lake Corpus Christi/Choke Canyon reservoir system dropped below 50% in mid-June. While there has been some rain in the watershed it did not reverse the downward slide of lake levels.

LAKE TEXANA FULL AND DROUGHTCONDITIONS IMPROVING
- Rains filled Lake Texana as of March 23 and levels for the LCC/CCR system continue steady. A chart shows how annual evaporation is a major factor in reducing the amount of water in storage.

- Rainfall has pushed Lake Texana levels up while the LCC/CCR system is holding steady. La Nina appears to be transitioning to neutral condition.

- Rainfall in January raised Lake Texana back to above 50% of capacity. It hit a low of 35.7% on January 8th.
